Case Study: 3CX Phone System for Roedean
The Client
Roedean is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18 in Brighton, East Sussex.
Issues Faced
Roedean wanted to upgrade its phone system and a suitable budget was allocated.
Choice of nTrust
After identifying 3CX as their preferred option, Roedean contacted nTrust, an accredited 3CX Partner. Following an initial meeting, Roedean was impressed with nTrust’s expertise and entrusted us with the installation.
Proposed Solution – 3CX
Although Roedean had already chosen 3CX, nTrust played a crucial role in reaffirming their decision and guiding them through the installation process. We provided valuable advice on the necessary steps, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
nTrust’s Service Experience
Throughout the project, Roedean had a positive experience with nTrust. The highly skilled in-house IT department enjoyed working collaboratively with nTrust. The successful teamwork has fostered an excellent relationship, potentially leading to future collaboration in other areas.
Max Carpenter, IT Manager at Roedean, said, “After going out to market and speaking to several companies, we were confident that nTrust were the right 3CX Partner for the project. The installation was strategically executed during the 2023 summer holidays, minimising disruptions to school operations.”
Capabilities Enabled by the New 3CX Phone System
With the implementation of the 3CX phone system, Roedean can now:
- Rely on a modern and reliable phone system.
- Manage their Administration Console, controlling call flow, directing calls, and monitoring call activities.
- Utilize advanced features such as voicemail for each extension, call logging, call reporting, call recording, blacklisting, custom routing rules, and training options for reception and PA teams.
The 3CX Project in Numbers
- nTrust completed the project under budget
- All 250 old direct dial numbers were retained, ensuring continuity
- New equipment includes 10 advanced phones, 10 cordless/DECT phones, 2 conference phones, 87 standard phones, and 99 basic phones.
The successful collaboration between Roedean and nTrust has not only addressed the immediate issue but has also positioned the school with an upgraded and efficient communication system for the future.
Russ McKenzie, nTrust’s Managing Director says, “Our view is always to build a long-term relationship with our clients. The positive outcome of this project has laid the foundation for future collaborations between the school and nTrust.”
