While Windows 10 comes with advantages, there are many downsides to upgrading right now.
Upgrading to Windows 10 is a complete reinstall of the operating system. This can cause issues with specific applications and can cause them to function incorrectly, or not at all. The process of upgrading Windows states it keeps all applications and data however we know this isn’t always the case. Some applications simply do not work on Windows 10. If this is the only software you can use for a specific task then it cause serious problems for you until the software supports it.
Windows 10 has its benefits though. It’s user friendly, looks good and takes up much less space than previous operating systems. However it has flaws such as a hard to use start menu and search bar.
While they offer the upgrade or free, you should stay away from windows 10 until the bugs sorted and more applications are compatible with the OS however if you really want to upgrade, we recommend you make a backup just in case it doesn’t go to plan.
